About

My name is Dr. Anna B. González. I graduated from PSJA High School in 1986 and received a BBA in Accounting in 1998. After becoming a certified teacher, I began my teaching career in the fall of 1999. I received my first Master’s in Education (Bilingual/Biliteracy) in 2006 and my second Master’s in Education (Reading) in 2009. I served as an elementary teacher for six years and a Reading Coach for two years. I began my administrative career in 2007 and served as an Assistant Principal at the elementary level for five years and an Assistant Principal at a middle school for five years. In 2017 I decided to return to the elementary level as an Assistant Principal, a position I currently hold at Aida C. Escobar Elementary in Pharr.  I recieved a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction: Language, Diversity, and Literacy with a focus on Bilingual Education through Texas Tech University in May of 2023. I love my work and am hoping that this additional degree will help me grow in the area of digital learning within the curriculum.

Most importantly I am a mom, a grandma, and a dog mom.
